KUALA LUMPUR, 20 SEPTEMBER 2025 – The Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) Awards 2025 has concluded, celebrating excellence, innovation, and sustainability. The event honored 14 trailblazing winners from across Malaysia’s halal industry.
The 12th annual MIHAS Awards were held on September 20, 2025, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), in conjunction with MIHAS 2025, which took place from September 17 to 20, 2025. Organized by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the awards recognize businesses that are driving the global halal economy through innovation, strong export performance, and a commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles.
According to MATRADE Chairman YB Dato’ Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, “The MIHAS Awards underscore Malaysia’s commitment to positioning the Halal Malaysia brand on the global stage”. He added that the awards celebrate visionary enterprises and help advance the national agenda of innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth.
MATRADE Chief Executive Officer YBhg. Dato’ Sri Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz stated that the awards “shine a spotlight on companies representing the very best of Malaysian entrepreneurship”. He emphasized that success in the halal industry is about “competitiveness, innovation, and long-term sustainability,” and that the awards inspire more businesses to expand into global markets.
Award Categories
The awards featured two main categories:
MIHAS Products and Services Excellence Award: This category honors strong export performance, product/service quality, digitalization, brand strength, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) impact.
Emerging Star Award: This new award, introduced in 2025, highlights promising newcomers with strong export potential and transformative impact in the halal industry.
MIHAS Products and Services Innovation & Sustainability Award: This category recognizes businesses that innovatively embed ESG values and the UN Sustainable Development Goals into their operations.

An independent panel of experts from the industry and government agencies selected the winners. Entries were evaluated based on strict criteria, including quality, innovation, sustainability, export growth, market expansion, and halal compliance.
