Halima Aden Releases Collaboration with Modanisa

2022-02-12 by Hafiz M. Ahmed

To mark her very first fashion debut hijabi supermodel Halima Aden releases her collaboration with modest fashion brand Modanisa. Working alongside the creative team of the Istanbul-based e-tailer, the Somali-American model releases *drum roll* 47 headscarves and hijabs in dreamy hues of nudes and warm brown tones.

The diversifying shades celebrate the beauty of all colors and showcase a touch of the model’s own personality in the collection.

What inspired Halima to create this Modanisa collection?

The collection, she told Standard insiders “came from a selfish place because just like Rihanna was able to create 52 shades of foundation from the deepest skin tone to the palest, [I thought] why don’t we have a collection of hijabs and turbans in nude tones for different skin types?” Her favorite shade is a deep chocolate brown with “maroon” and “warm undertones” that makes her “skin-pop.”

We cannot agree more, the deep chocolate brown has her glowing!

The icon told her 1.4 million followers on Instagram “The wait is over! The New Halima x Modanisa Hijab Collection of diversifying nude shades and textures celebrates the beauty of all, inspiring women to create new stories with their own inimitable style. Join us on a journey of appreciating what makes us who we are!”

Back in November 2020 the model literally shook the fashion industry when she revealed she will be stepping back for good due to instances where her hijab was compromised. We are glad she’s back with Modanisa, more aligned with a platform that embraces and understands her faith and values.

She revealed that “they have been an ever-present in my career: my first modest fashion catwalk, my first collection, and now my first global fashion role, all with Modanisa. They share my faith and values and fully respect my choices as a Muslim woman. I’m coming home.”
