Company Introduction

CareFood Industries is Malaysia’s leading manufacturer/exporter of authentic Asian sauces. Recently, its President & CEO Mr. Mickey Quah introduced his company to our worldwide audience by letting us know how he started this company with only three products but is now offering more than 350 different sauces to corporate and end-user customers from Asia, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and North America. It is a marvelous success story by a small manufacturer from Malaysia who is introducing its authentic Asian sauces all over the world now.

He told us that they also manufacture Western sauces like pasta sauces, brown sauces, etc. Their main customers are food service companies, private label organizations, and institutional accounts apart from end-users.

Mr. Mickey Quah established CareFood in the late 1980s. He had no customers, no brand recognition, and no experience in the food industry while starting the business.  Initially, the company started manufacturing three types of sauces only. However, they have increased the number of their product offerings to more than 350 different sauces serving the taste buds of a countless number of consumers all over the world.

The company sells its products under the brand name of AsianMeals®. Their product line covers anything from stir-fries to marinades, pour overs, simmer sauces, curries, dip sauces, etc… to address food service companies as well as retail consumers from around the globe.

All their products are wholesome. The company uses fresh and natural ingredients to prepare sauces that maintain their original flavors.  Some 8 years ago, they also added ready-to-eat noodle meal kits.  Last October, they launched a total of 17 products in a specially designed biodegradable paper bowl at the Anuga International Food Show in Cologne, Germany.  They won the Anuga Taste Innovation Show Award for their Konjac Noodles products.

In the same month of October, they were also awarded the “Business of The Year 2019” by the International Trade Council in Chicago. Over 3,000 companies worldwide competed for this award.
