State-of-the-Art Islamic Hospital Launched in Mayville

The journey of the Ahmed Al-Kadi Private Hospital has certainly been an exciting one. In 2008, the Islamic Medical Association (IMA) was tasked with the mammoth undertaking of establishing an Islamic hospital in the Durban area.  Finally, the hospital stands before members of the community in all its state-of-the art glory.

The hospital will be offering exceptional health care.  “Medicine is moving towards minimal invasive surgery where people can possibly leave in a day and don’t have to leave with six inch scars anymore. Many doctors from the hospital are from overseas and have studied abroad. The doctors that we have chosen in every speciality are experts in what we call keyhole surgery and specialise in modern surgery such as robotic surgery, neuro-navigational surgery and minimal invasive surgery so patients can come in and leave as soon as possible instead of staying for days on end. We are focusing on advanced health care,” said specialist physician, Ashraff YD Moosa who is one of the directors on the hospital board.
