2nd European Halal Congress 2024 To Be Held on May 28-29

Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina – The Halal Quality Certification Agency, in collaboration with esteemed partners, is proud to announce the organization of the 2nd European Halal Congress. This significant event will take place on May 28 and 29, 2024, at the Hills Hotel in Sarajevo.

The event is supported by Halal Control GmbH of Germany, the Faculty of Islamic Studies at the University of Sarajevo, the Faculty of Technology at the University of Tuzla, the Association of Nutrition and Dietetics “Healthy Food,” and the Institute of Standards and Metrology of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (SMIIC/OIC). This collaboration ensures the congress will have significant scientific and social impacts.

Renaming for Broader Appeal

Originally known as the “Congress of Halal Quality,” the event was renamed during the introductory session of the organizing committee to better reflect its European scope. The congress will highlight various scientific, professional, and practical developments within the Halal sector, including innovations in production, processing, quality assurance, and best practices for ethical products and services. The primary objective of the European Halal Congress is to connect Europe with the global Halal sector and value chain, promoting greater integration and cooperation.

Participants can look forward to the publication of abstracts and paper volumes, along with the third issue of the Journal of Halal Quality and Certification, a scientific journal dedicated to the Halal industry.
