IsDB Institute Kicks Off eBook Reader App Review Competition

The Islamic Development Bank Institute (IsDBI), the research and knowledge arm of the Islamic Development Bank Group, is proud to announce the launch of its eBook Reader App Review Competition—an initiative inviting users to explore, evaluate, and help shape the future of digital access to knowledge in Islamic economics and finance.

The IsDBI eBook Reader App, launched in 2022, provides seamless access to the Institute’s extensive digital library, featuring hundreds of publications, research papers, and reference materials. Available on iOS, Android, and via a web-based cloud version, the Reader delivers an intuitive, feature-rich experience with capabilities such as bookmarking, highlighting, and note-taking.

This competition seeks to gather user insights and feedback to enhance the app’s performance, usability, and functionality. Participants will have the opportunity to influence the future of digital learning tools in Islamic finance and economics while gaining recognition for their contributions.

Generous prizes await top submissions:
First Prize: US$1,500
Second Prize: US$1,000
Third Prize: US$700

Participants are invited to submit a 700–1,000 word review essay covering key aspects of the app, including:
– Ease of use and overall interface
– Navigation and search functionality
– App speed and responsiveness
– Reading features such as bookmarking, highlighting, and note-taking
– Library content and accessibility
