Japanese Halal Skincare To Be Marketed Globally

2025-11-29 by Hafiz M. Ahmed

TOKYO — In the heart of Japan, where tradition meets innovation, PBJ Inc. is redefining skincare with the launch of “Momo Hime” (Peach Princess), a halal-certified line designed for women who seek both beauty and mindful living. Approved by the Japan Islamic Trust, this line debuts on March 3 and is set to captivate not only Japanese consumers but also a global audience eager for ethically crafted, high-quality cosmetics.

Momo Hime draws on PBJ’s 80-year heritage in fruit and vegetable retail, translating decades of knowledge about peaches into skincare that nourishes, soothes, and rejuvenates. Each product carries the delicate, comforting scent of peach, transforming daily skincare into a ritual of relaxation. The natural peach extracts harness moisturizing and antibacterial properties, offering a gentle yet effective approach to skincare that celebrates the harmony between nature and science.

The vision behind Momo Hime is deeply personal. Mieko Kobayashi, PBJ’s representative, spent years abroad and witnessed firsthand the desire among Muslim women to experience Japanese skincare without compromising their faith. “Many women long for authentic Japanese products but struggle to find halal-certified options,” Kobayashi shared. “With Momo Hime, we offer skincare that is luxurious, effective, and fully halal—so everyone can indulge with confidence.”

Craftsmanship meets ethical standards in every step of production. Free from pork and alcohol-derived ingredients, Momo Hime adheres strictly to Islamic guidelines. Production is fully compliant with Japan’s Pharmaceutical Affairs Law and Product Liability Law, and meets GMP and ISO 9001 standards, ensuring quality, safety, and consistency. Even the packaging—elegantly designed and 100% made in Japan—reflects the brand’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

The initial Momo Hime collection includes three essential skincare products, with plans to expand throughout 2026:

  • Peach Foaming Face Wash (100g) – 1,780 yen

  • Peach Moisture Lotion (150ml) – 1,980 yen

  • Peach Moisture Gel Cream (30g) – 1,980 yen

Available online through PBJ’s bilingual website and in Muslim-friendly salons and retail outlets, the brand is also targeting hotels, duty-free shops, and souvenir stores to reach international visitors. Expansion plans include exports to Singapore, Thailand, and Middle Eastern countries, marking a bold step in bringing Japanese halal skincare to the global market.

More than skincare, Momo Hime invites women into a world of sensory delight, mindful beauty, and ethical luxury. By blending centuries of Japanese craftsmanship, the natural power of peaches, and halal certification, PBJ has created not just products—but a lifestyle that embodies self-care, inclusivity, and elegance.
