The World Halal Food Festival, now celebrating its eighth year, is set to take place on September 23-24 at the iconic London Stadium, nestled within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Formerly known as the London Halal Food Festival, this year’s event promises to be a gastronomic extravaganza, attracting thousands of passionate halal food enthusiasts from across the globe. Guests can indulge in a tantalizing array of international halal cuisine while exploring a diverse range of shopping stalls throughout the weekend.
The festival’s highlights include live cookery demonstrations at the Tariq Halal Cookery Theatre, where world-renowned celebrity chefs will unveil their culinary secrets. Additionally, visitors can enjoy captivating live performances by talented artists on the main stage and participate in the fiery and often hilarious Halal Eat-Off competitions, ensuring non-stop entertainment.
The World Halal Food Festival is expanding its offerings this year with an enhanced Kids Zone, a Dessert Zone to satisfy sweet cravings, a VIP Lounge for a touch of luxury, and much more. This family-friendly event promises an unforgettable experience for all ages.
British chef and author Nadiya Hussain will grace the Tariq Halal Cookery Theatre with a live cookery demonstration on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. local time, presenting her latest book, “Nadiya’s Simple Spices,” and coinciding with her new series of the same name on BBC Two.
Hosted by Shelina Permalloo from “Cooking With the Stars,” the festival will feature additional live cookery demonstrations by Ali Rehman, an acclaimed international food blogger, Omar Foster, the runner-up in this year’s MasterChef competition, and the award-winning hit music producer Naughty Boy, who will introduce his famed ‘Naughty Boy Kitchen’ to the festival for the very first time.
