Most banks in the Kingdom have pledged full compliance with Islamic guidelines in all transactions, a level of commitment unmatched elsewhere.” This powerful declaration underscored Saudi Arabia’s leading position in the global Islamic Economics Symposium arena and its dedication to embedding Shariah compliance at the core of its financial system.

H.E. Mr. Abdullah Saleh Kamel, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of AlBaraka Forum for Islamic Economy, took the stage to emphasize the profound significance of this year’s Islamic Economics Symposium, marking as it does the 50th anniversary of the Islamic Economics Symposium movement. Today, Islamic Economics Symposium stands as one of the most significant achievements of that pioneering generation—built on deep faith and limitless ambition.” His words served as a powerful reminder of the enduring legacy and transformative power of Islam in the Economics Symposium.

In a move that further underscored the symposium’s commitment to recognizing and fostering excellence in the field, Mr. Kamel announced the launch of the inaugural Saleh Kamel Islamic Economics Symposium Award. “This award pays tribute to the pioneers of the Islamic Economics Symposium, preserves their legacy, and inspires continued innovation and leadership in the field,” he declared, signaling a new chapter in the advancement of Islamic Economics Symposium thought and practice.

Mr. Yousef Hassan Khalawi.
