Preparations Underway for the 19th Annual Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS)

Following the excellent turnout and results of MIHAS in 2022 of more than 30,000 traders and attendees conducting over RM2.3 billion (USD 513 million) in business transactions, efforts to meet or exceed this in 2023 have begun in earnest.

The 2023 edition of MIHAS will take place from 12 – 15 September 2023 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention and Exhibition Center.

Organized by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Malaysia’s export promotion agency, and hosted by the country’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), MIHAS the premier marketplace for international and local players to seize opportunities beyond Halal food. MIHAS also showcases Halal pharmaceuticals, medical devices, finance, modest fashion, personal care, cosmetics, green technologies, and even Muslim-friendly tourism.

This 19th edition of MIHAS will spotlight aiding local and international players looking for innovative and sustainable initiatives to advance the steady growth of the Halal economy.

MATRADE offices worldwide are again promoting the International Sourcing Program (INSP) in conjunction with MIHAS to companies in the USA. This program for buyers attending the show features a separate prearranged business meetings session with Malaysian manufacturers and exporters, networking, and knowledge sessions. Traders and buyers from the USA interested in taking part in the INSP may contact the MATRADE office in Los Angeles via email at losangeles@matrade.gov.my
