These terms cover the paid Press Release Publication service on halaltimes.com. Please read them before you submit. By ticking the box on the form and paying, you agree to them.
Last updated: October 23, 2026. This service is provided by Rhetica Co., Ltd., which operates The Halal Times at halaltimes.com (“The Halal Times”, “we”, “us”). “You” means the person submitting the release and the organisation they act for.
1. The service
- For a fee of US$350 (US dollars) per release, we publish one press release on halaltimes.com in our Press Releases section.
- Your release is labelled “Press Release” and credited to your organisation. It ends with this note: “This press release was issued by [your organisation] and is published as received, with light formatting edits. The Halal Times did not write it and does not endorse the products, services or claims in it.”
- The service includes up to one main image, your logo, your “About” paragraph, your media contact and up to two links in total.
- The service does not include: coverage by our reporters, inclusion in our newsletter, social media posts, or any promise of readers, traffic, search rankings or business results.
2. Payment
- You pay the full fee in advance, by card, through Stripe. One payment covers one release.
- You can only pay after you agree to these terms on our form. Stripe asks you to confirm again on the payment page. We keep a record of when you agreed and which version of these terms you agreed to.
- We start our review only after payment is complete. If you do not pay within 7 days of submitting, we delete your files and details and keep only your company name and headline.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that apply, and any charges your own bank may add.
3. Editorial review
- An editor reviews every release before publication. We may decline any release, for any reason, at our sole discretion. If we decline it, we tell you why. Refunds follow section 9.
- We may make light edits: spelling, grammar, layout, headline length, and our house style for dates, numbers and names. We do not change the meaning of your news.
- If a release needs more than light edits, or we need proof of a claim, we email you. If we do not get a workable reply within 10 business days, we may decline the release (see section 9).
- Your release can include up to two links, which you give in the form. Your company website and any web addresses in your text appear as plain text. We may remove any link that breaks these terms.
- Releases shorter than 300 words or longer than 1,500 words may be returned to you for changes before review.
4. Content rules
Your release must:
- be news about a real organisation, written in English, 300 to 1,500 words long;
- be accurate, lawful and not misleading;
- name the certification body for any statement that a product or service is halal-certified, and you must be able to show the certificate if we ask;
- not involve gambling or betting, adult content, alcohol, pork or other non-halal products, cannabis or CBD, interest-based (riba) lending, or forex, CFD or crypto investment offers;
- not make health, medical or financial claims that cannot be backed up, such as cures or guaranteed returns;
- not attack, mock or make unproven claims about another person or organisation;
- not be mainly an advert, such as discount codes or sales pitches;
- not include anything you do not have the right to publish.
The Halal Times does not certify products or rule on what is halal. Publishing your release is not an endorsement of your organisation, products, services or claims.
5. Timing
- We aim to publish within 2 business days of payment. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. If you choose a publish date, we publish on that date. Dates can be up to 90 days ahead.
- If we ask you a question, the 2 business days start again when you reply.
- We do not publish a release before the date you choose. If you need an exact time or embargo, tell us in the notes.
6. Links
All links in your release are marked rel=”sponsored”, as search engines ask publishers to do for paid content. We do not sell links that pass search ranking value through this service.
7. Your promises to us
By submitting, you confirm that:
- you are allowed to issue the release for your organisation;
- the facts in the release are true to the best of your knowledge;
- you own, or have permission to use, all text, images and logos you send us, and we may publish them;
- publishing the release will not break any law, contract or anyone’s rights, including securities disclosure rules that apply to you.
You agree to cover any loss, cost or claim we face because one of these promises was not true.
8. After publication
- Your release stays online with no end date. We may remove it if it later turns out to break the law or these terms.
- We correct factual errors free of charge if you tell us within 30 days of publication. Other changes after publication are not part of the service.
- We do not take releases down on request, except where the law requires it.
9. Refunds
- If your release breaks the content rules in section 4, we do not publish it and the fee is not refunded.
- If we decline your release for any other reason, we refund US$325: the US$350 fee minus a US$25 processing fee.
- Apart from point 2, payments are not refundable. This includes changing your mind after paying and any time after publication.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Most banks show them within 5 to 10 business days.
10. Your information
- We use your contact details only to handle your release, answer your questions and send your receipt. We do not publish your email or phone number unless you put them in the media contact section.
- The media contact, “About” paragraph and everything in the release itself are published.
- Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- We use service providers, including payment, hosting and AI tools, to process and check your submission.
- We keep the details of paid submissions for our business and tax records. See our privacy policy for more.
11. Liability
Our total liability to you for this service is limited to the fee you paid for the release concerned. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. General
- We may update these terms. The terms in force on the day you pay apply to your release.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
- Questions about these terms: [email protected].
