Saudi Arabia to Host MHF 2025, Focusing on Sustainable Development in the Halal Sector

2025-02-03 by Hafiz M. Ahmed

Makkah, Saudi Arabia  – The 2nd Annual Makkah Halal Forum (MHF 2025) will convene under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Commerce, from February 25–27, 2025, at the Makkah Chamber of Commerce Exhibition and Events Center. Organized by Manafea and the Islamic Chamber Halal Services (ICHS), this year’s summit, themed “Sustainable Development through Halal,” reinforces Saudi Arabia’s commitment to becoming a global Halal innovation and investment hub, in line with Vision 2030.

MHF 2025 will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and innovators to address key challenges and opportunities within the $3 trillion Halal market. The forum will focus on integrating sustainability across various sectors, including Halal Food & Agriculture, Finance, Cosmetics & Pharmaceuticals, Fashion, Tourism, and Packaging & Logistics.

The program includes high-level roundtables, innovation labs, a global expo featuring over 150 exhibitors, B2B matchmaking, and culinary experiences. Discussions will center on regulatory harmonization, ESG compliance, AI-driven Halal verification, and blockchain traceability solutions.

“This forum is crucial to achieving that vision.” H.E. Mr. Abdullah Saleh Kamel, President of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, added, “Hosting this forum in Makkah underscores our responsibility to lead an ethical economic revolution. The Halal sector must prioritize sustainability to benefit communities worldwide.”

Key partnerships with organizations like the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), the Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA), and the Halal Products Development Company (HPDC) will further amplify the forum’s impact.

MHF 2025 offers attendees access to investment opportunities, regulatory insights, market expansion potential within Saudi Arabia’s growing $22 billion Halal market, and networking with over 5,000 delegates from more than 80 countries.

A Manafea spokesperson stated, “The Halal industry’s future depends on sustainability. MHF 2025 is a call to action for global stakeholders to collaborate on solutions that balance profit with responsible stewardship.”

The event will be held from February 25–27, 2025, at the Makkah Chamber of Commerce Exhibition and Events Center. Registration is available at www.makkahhalalforum.com. Follow the pre-event series, “Road to MHF 2025,” for updates and insights.
