As summer winds down, culinary enthusiasts and food lovers are gearing up for a sensational weekend at North America’s Largest Halal BBQ, known as Halal Ribfest. Now celebrating its ninth year, this vibrant festival has become a hallmark of diverse gastronomy, converging in Surrey’s picturesque Holland Park. This year, the festivities will unfold from August 30 through September 1, marking another memorable edition of this beloved culinary tradition.

North America’s Largest Halal BBQ

Located at 13428 Old Yale Rd in Surrey, Halal Ribfest 2024 promises an array of delights that cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences. The event, now in its second year in Metro Vancouver, showcases a robust lineup of vendors who are masters in crafting 100% Halal-certified delights. This year’s focus remains on Southern-style BBQ, with mouth-watering offerings like brisket and beef ribs stealing the show. Yet, the festival is more than just BBQ; it’s a celebration of global street food, offering everything from Beavertails to shaved ice, ensuring there’s something to satisfy every palate.

Culinary Delights and More

Beyond the sizzle of the grill, Halal Ribfest is a treasure trove of activities. The pop-up marketplace is a shopper’s paradise, featuring an assortment of Halal packaged foods alongside a diverse collection of goods and merchandise. For families, the festival is a perfect weekend destination, with a dedicated Kids Zone complete with carnival games, magicians, and a bouncy castle, open from 2 PM to 10 PM on Friday, noon to 10 PM on Saturday, and noon to 8 PM on Sunday.

As for tickets, a variety of options are available to accommodate everyone’s needs, from discounted single admissions to group admissions. A three-day pass is priced at $11.39 for anyone over the age of 13, with day passes available for $6. Kids under 13 enjoy free admission, although food purchases are separate.
