7 Qatar Companies to Attend Malaysia International Halal Showcase 2025

7 Qatar Companies to Showcase at Global Halal Expo in Malaysia
2025-09-15 by Laiba Adnan

Kuala Lumpur, September 15, 2025 – Malaysia is set to host the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2025, a cornerstone event in the global halal industry, starting tomorrow, September 16, 2025. Seven companies from Qatar will participate, signaling the Gulf state’s growing commitment to the halal economy and strengthening trade ties with Malaysia, a recognized leader in the sector.

Malaysia as a Global Halal Hub

MIHAS 2025 will convene businesses, policymakers, and industry leaders worldwide, showcasing Malaysia’s role as a benchmark for halal certification and standards. The showcase offers a platform for countries like Qatar to connect with new markets, leverage Malaysia’s credible halal system, and forge lasting trade partnerships, reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a hub for halal trade, innovation, and collaboration.

Qatari Participation and Magic Touch

Among the confirmed Qatari participants is Magic Touch, a company specializing in halal-certified cosmetics and personal care products. Its presence highlights the surging demand for halal beauty and lifestyle products, driven by consumers—especially younger generations—seeking ethical, safe, and Shariah-compliant options. While the full list of the seven Qatari firms remains undisclosed, they are expected to represent diverse sectors, including food and beverage, cosmetics, logistics, and lifestyle goods, aligning with Qatar’s National Vision 2030 for sustainable economic diversification.

As host, Malaysia reinforces its global leadership in the halal economy. Its certification system, led by JAKIM, is among the world’s most trusted, serving as a gateway for businesses targeting Muslim-majority and non-Muslim markets alike, where halal products are valued for quality and safety. MIHAS 2025 will spotlight emerging sectors like halal digital services, Islamic finance, tourism, modest fashion, and pharmaceuticals, showcasing the industry’s diversification.Trade RelatiuonsBetween Malaysia and Qatar

Qatar’s participation is expected to deepen ties with Southeast Asia, leveraging Malaysia’s expertise in halal certification. This collaboration benefits both nations: Malaysia strengthens connections with a diversifying Gulf economy, while Qatar taps into Malaysia’s established halal infrastructure to expand its global reach.

The halal market, valued in the trillions, continues to expand, driven by Muslim and non-Muslim consumers who associate halal with ethical and high-quality standards. MIHAS 2025 provides a critical platform for businesses to tap into this growth, share knowledge, and shape the industry’s future through innovation and collaboration.

As MIHAS 2025 begins tomorrow, anticipation grows for a transformative event that will drive innovation, foster international cooperation, and solidify Malaysia and Qatar’s roles as key players in the global halal economy.
