AFTER the success of the 1st International Conference on Business, Economics and Finance (ICBEF) in 2017, Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s School of Business and Economics (UBD SBE) is set to host the 2nd ICBEF from July 31 to August 1, under the theme ‘New Technologies, Dynamic Business Environment and Growth for Future’.
The upcoming conference is designed to cover current and upcoming areas of Business, Economics, and Accounting and Finance that branch into 18 other conference streams, including financial technology (FinTech), digital transformation, information system, cybersecurity, emerging markets, sustainable and inclusive growth, as well as Islamic economics and finance.
The keynote speaker for the 2019 ICBEF will be Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia’s International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance Professor Dato Dr Azmi Omar.
Four other guest speakers have also been invited to share their scholarly views on the conference’s theme – Professor of Accounting and Vice Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) Professor Dr Noor Azizi Ismail, Professor of Economics at Nanyang Technological University Singapore Professor Euston Quah, Professor of Economics at Istanbul Medeniyet University Turkey Professor Mehmet Huseyin Bilgin and Vice-President and Research Professor at the Asian Growth Research Institute Japan Professor Charles Horioka.
UBD SBE is also inviting business leaders, researchers, academicians, practitioners, policymakers and members of the public to participate in the discussions and presentations during the conference.
All accepted and presented papers at the conference will be published in the proceedings with ISBN. The qualified papers will be published in the EBES Journals, Eurasian Business Review (SSCI and Scopus) and Eurasian Economic Review (Scopus and WOS).
Subject to double blind review as part of journal requirement, selected papers will be considered for publication in the UBD SBE Journal of Business and Economic Analysis (JBEA).
Three Best Paper Awards will be conferred at the conference. UBD SBE welcomes submission of abstracts due by March 31, and is offering early-bird conference registration rates until June 1.
All participants will need to register and pay the appropriate registration for the conference.
Fees for local and overseas students apply for both the paper presenter and participant, who are required to upload verification letters or student IDs when submitting their registrations online.
Government agencies are required to submit their department’s approval and a purchase order (PO) to the ICBEF Secretariat.
All registrations and payment must be submitted via the online form provided on the conference’s website.
