Iran Condemns US Aggression Warns of Dangerous Consequences

Iran Condemns US Aggression Warns of Dangerous Consequences
2025-06-24 by Laiba Adnan

Tehran, Iran – Iran has vehemently condemned the recent US military strikes on its nuclear facilities, warning of dangerous and far-reaching consequences for regional and global stability. The attacks, which saw US forces target key Iranian nuclear sites including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, have dramatically escalated tensions in the Middle East and drawn widespread international concern.

Iranian officials, including Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, have labeled the US actions as “brutal military aggression,” a “heinous crime,” and a “grave violation” of international law and the UN Charter. Araghchi stressed that diplomacy is no longer an option after the strikes and vowed that Iran “reserves all options” to defend its sovereignty and people.

The US strikes, which President Donald Trump claimed inflicted “monumental damage” and “completely and totally obliterated” Iranian enrichment capabilities, followed a period of intensified Israeli attacks on Iranian territory. Satellite images appear to show significant damage, including craters at the Natanz and Fordow sites.

The international community has reacted with alarm, with the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warning of a “perilous turn” and urging immediate de-escalation and a return to negotiations. China and Russia have strongly condemned the US actions, calling them “irresponsible, dangerous and provocative” and a gross violation of international law. Several Arab states, including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Oman, have also expressed deep concern and called for a diplomatic resolution.

Despite US assurances that the objective is not regime change, analysts suggest the strikes have shifted the rules of engagement and carry significant risks of further escalation. Iran’s parliament is reportedly considering suspending cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog, and Iranian military officials have threatened to inflict “serious, unpredictable consequences” on the United States, raising fears of retaliatory actions against US assets in the region.

The situation remains highly volatile, with calls for restraint and dialogue from various international actors in an effort to prevent a wider regional conflict.
