R&I and RAM Ratings Collaborate To Enhance Islamic Finance Market In Japan

Rating and Investment Information, Inc. (“R&I”) and RAM Rating Services Berhad（”RAM Ratings”）
reached a Mutual Collaboration Agreement yesterday.
Malaysia has established itself as the core of Islamic Finance. As the largest rating agency in
Malaysia, RAM Ratings has an ample track record of rating Islamic finance products.
In Japan, aiming at the development of Islamic finance and the Japanese capital market, the
government is implementing several policies for Islamic finance, and the market participants are showing
growing interests in the Islamic finance products.
With this background, RAM Ratings and R&I have reached a Mutual Collaboration Agreement to
further expand their services to the issuers and investors in each country.
R&I and RAM Ratings will continue to contribute to the promotion of Islamic finance in Malaysia and
Japan.
