Sohar Islamic Launches Internet Banking

Complementing the recent launch of its SMS banking services, Sohar Islamic – Bank Sohar’s Islamic Banking window, is now further augmenting its e-banking services with the launch of its new Internet Banking Facility. This new service means that Sohar Islamic customers can now do their banking wherever they want, whenever they want, with access to their accounts 24 hours a day.

The new online Banking Service from Sohar Islamic offers customers safe and secure access to their accounts from anywhere and at any time. Once logged in, via a direct link from the official Sohar Islamic website, a simple user-friendly interface provides customers with all necessary services to effectively manage their accounts. This service is entirely free; all that is required is for the customer to register for the service at their nearest Sohar Islamic branch.

The launch of the Bank’s online services stands as a perfect complement to its SMS banking services launched in September this year. Available in both, Arabic and English languages, the SMS service offers a broad range of notifications such as ATM and CDM transactions, all deposits, withdrawals and transfers, account balance alerts, end of day balance reports, finance repayment notices and salary transfer notifications. Moreover push alerts are also issued automatically within seconds of each transaction being completed. Sohar Islamic’s SMS alert facility will also send customers reminders on their monthly installment dues, document and ID expiry alerts as well as promotional benefits and added features.

Sohar Islamic’s internet and SMS banking services perfectly complement its comprehensive range of banking solutions that cover a wide array of retail and corporate financing needs.
