Wing Fellas Introduces 100% Halal Chicken to Flint, Filling a Key Culinary Gap

2024-07-15 by Aamer Yaqub

FLINT TWP, MI – Wing Fellas is set to introduce a new culinary delight to the Flint area, offering 100% halal chicken to the community. This exciting addition addresses a significant need in the city, where finding halal food options has been a longstanding challenge.

Filling a Culinary Gap with Quality and Flavor

Wing Fellas is committed to providing high-quality, halal-certified chicken, ensuring that residents with dietary restrictions can enjoy delicious, flavorful wings. This commitment is not just about meeting dietary needs but also about offering exceptional taste and variety.

“I’ve lived here for over 20 years, and there’s nothing around like this,” said Sam Salem, owner of Wing Fellas, located at 4240 Miller Road in Flint Township.

Diverse Menu to Satisfy All Cravings

The restaurant offers more than just chicken wings. Their diverse menu includes pizza, burgers, wraps, and sandwiches, catering to a wide range of tastes. Complementing their wings, Wing Fellas also serves French fries as a side, making it a perfect spot for a hearty meal.

A Flavor Explosion: Sauces and Rubs

One of the standout features of Wing Fellas is their impressive selection of 15 sauces and 13 dry rubs available for both bone-in and boneless chicken wings. These options infuse the restaurant’s atmosphere with a peppery, savory aroma, promising an unforgettable dining experience.

Their sauces span a wide range of heat levels, from sweet barbecue to the fiery creeper sauce made with California reaper peppers. This ensures there’s something for everyone, from mild to the bravest of heat seekers.

The Halal Difference: Fresh and Clean

All chicken and meat served at Wing Fellas are Zabiha halal, meaning the animals are slaughtered according to Islamic teachings. The hand-slaughtering process involves slitting the animal’s throat and completely draining the blood, ensuring the meat is clean and healthy.

“So many people are happy because they’ve never had 100% halal in the area,” Salem said. “Halal is cleaner, and our food is fresh, never frozen.”

Establishing a Local Presence

Wing Fellas originally opened in 2016 and has since expanded to seven other locations in Southeast Michigan. The Flint Township location, which officially opened on June 5, is still in a soft opening phase but operates seven days a week, welcoming the community to experience their delicious offerings.

Community Reception

The community has warmly embraced Wing Fellas, evident from its perfect 5.0 rating on Google. This positive reception underscores the demand for halal options and the quality of food Wing Fellas provides.

“We make wings you can’t refuse,” Salem said, highlighting the restaurant’s confidence in its unique and flavorful offerings.

Wing Fellas is more than just a new restaurant in Flint; it’s a game-changer for the local halal food scene. By offering 100% halal chicken, they fill a crucial gap in the market, providing residents with fresh, high-quality, and delicious food options. Whether you’re craving wings with an array of sauces and rubs or other tasty menu items, Wing Fellas promises a dining experience that’s both satisfying and memorable.

If you’re in the Flint area, make sure to visit Wing Fellas at 4240 Miller Road and taste the difference of 100% halal chicken. Your taste buds will thank you!
